i always tried to make myself have a favorite artist because i always seemed to be the only person i knew back in thee day who didnt have a pinpointed fav artist man. after a while i kinda accepted that i was a music conoseiur. i tried it all, had an opinion on all of it and because i loved most of it i could and would never have a favorite artist. i could spit you out a top 15 list that would hit like 5 genres of music from back n thee day to like current but you could and will never get a #1 artist that i enjoy. i like it better that way.
having a younger mom def comes with its advantages and disadvantages. one majorr advantage is music tho. from like age 2. there are homevids. of my ass in all black with my clothes on backwards with black sunglasses rocking out with my fisher price mic to OPP && Jump by Kris Kross. I was emerced in the music of the 90's and some of the shit before i could speak man. like on some real type shit, i found a cassette tape about 3 years ago still packed in some stuff we never unpacked when we moved down here from michigan and it was labled Kats Favorites.
TLC: Aint to proud to Beg, MC Hammer: 2 Legit to quit LL Cool J: Back Seat of my Jeep Sir Mix Alot: My Hoopty & buttermilk biscuits && Naughy by Nature: Uptown Anthem were some of the ones that caught my eye immediately. like wth? y did my mom let me listen to this shit lmao. and for it to be my favs haha. is hilarious.
I was a Jay-Z && R-Kelly fan from like the beginning of time. My mom was and still is a biggg as Jay Z fan. R-Kelly not so much but lmao i remember seeing a pic of my mom and aunt at thee R.Kelly concert looking like straight hoochiess && groupies after gettin a pic with dude lol.
and omg. my mom and godmommy straight tainted my music taste at a young age.
Akinyele is all i have to say. Put it in my mouth..I knew every fucking lyric. and when Chip the Ripper, Fat Al all them sampled that shit I was like ahhh..i know the original. played the original for ppl and they were like..OMG! lol.
in case yo dont know this song...
"Now you can lick it, you can sip it, you can taste it
I'm talkin every drip-drop, don't you waste it
baby, slurp it up, its enough to fill your cup
its finger lickin good
and Im wishin it would
go down kinda slow or even fast
I'm always sprung once I feel your tongue
In the crack of my ass, just eatin me-nigga
goin out like that boy you pack such a tasty treat
and you can e a t m e o u t
but put it in my mouth"
---i was 6 when this song came out. i knew all the words. thee end lol.
music for me is not just thee shit i listen to. my mautrity has went hand in hand with my taste in music. as i have grown up i have become more open to listening to all types of music. large doses of badd r&b still makes me puke(half serious/half playing) but i can take real r&b for what it is. Yes i still know all the words to Put it In Your Mouth but i also knw all the words to thee Spaz, Imaginary Player, Circus, and So Beautiful.
The cliche statement of the time is "music is my escape" shut the fuck up you cliche ppl. my obession with music is unhealthy at times. where call me weird, i like get the shakes with out my iPod. lmao.(im dying right now, broke thee headphones) Music is more than my escape. I can say and mean that music is my everyythingg mann. at anypoint in time i can find a song that reflects how im feeling or can COMPLETELY alter how im feeling. like the Royskopp: Happy Up Here song. There are no lyrics to that damn song. but it makes me SO HAPPY. idk y. its amazing what music can do for/to you. lol.
i love good music. fuck the radio. im my own radio. my shit is better anywayy.
booyahbitch. :)
