I always thought I was weird...

i was listening to MGMT most of the morning and I always close my eyes when im just chillin in bed listening to music and when Of Moons, Birds and Monsters came on eyes closed, i got super into the music, felt every emotion everything oh and not to mention all i could see was ribbons of color with my eyes closed. Then it hit me, was this what N*E*R*D was referring to when they named the illest album of 08 Seeing Sounds. I've always listened to music...closed my eyes and could either see people dancing( i still think im weird for this) like full out routines or colors. In the effort to curve some of my boredom, avoid working on my english paper and to seriously just learn more about myself, I typed in " seeing color while listening to music" in a google search and got redirected to a wiki page about Synesthesia. Its fascinating. literally. tho.

Bittersweet.

Today marks my first week at Oxford College of Emory University. Tomorrow we start classes. As much as i wanted to be away from home. and as ready as i said i was idk if that was exactly the truth. While i have alrdy made siome amazing friends. and some great connections its bittersweet. I miss the connections I made back home and the friends I had there. Its not like i left and was like okay bye cleveland and i'll never talk to those people again but the summer went by sooo fast. just a week ago i was home. i was on coventry. i was getting fucked up with some of my best friends. lol. i was laughing at crazy ppl. yelling at my little brother and laying in my OWN bed. its different you know? Im homesick like a bitch and ii NEVER thought i would say that. I miss the fast and forever moving city life. Oxfords cool and i know i wouldnt feel like this if i would have went straight to Big Emory in the city but 2 years here shouldnt be that bad. I wanted my first official college post to be EXCITING. GREAT. WONDERFUL! but its not. its sad and reflective. i dont regret my decision for coming down here at all because in the end the rewards outweight the homesickness, the tears and all that bs but for now its kinda eh being down here. hopefully tomorrow after classes start and im more focused on that. i can look past all the negatives and not be focused on the negatives of being so far away frm Cleveland. :/
i miss my family. and SACKs. my sisters. Coming home soon. It'll be great.

13 Year Old Stabs Grandfather Over Milk.

"Would you stab me if I drank that last bit of the coffee, or poured your coffee down the drain. " my grandfather joked this morning. Confused, I of course said no as he proceeded to explain where that came from.
A 13 year old black girl(since when do we do stuff like this! no offense but forreal) Milwaukee girl stabbed her grandfather in his neck and it lead to his death. Apparently there had been a history of ill feelings between 13 year old Labrina(smh.) and her "step-grandfather" and when he poured her milk down the drain 2 days ago, Labrina had enough and stabbed him with no remorse. From Aol News they quoted her saying " "I killed him," and to a neighbor said , "I'm not afraid to go to jail for this." Shes threatened him with knives before but this time she was fed up and killed him. wow.
Honestly, is it ever that serious? Push him down, break his hip but stab him in the neck and kill him? Thats just going to far. To do it with no remorse is even worse. I have ill feelings for alot of people but killing them is never a thought that crosses my mind. never. The Milwaukee girl is charged as an adult with first-degree reckless homicide, which carries a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison. And normally, when its a child im iffy on them being charged as an adult but im sorry, she acted like an adult, felt no remorse and killed him in cold blood and deserves what ever sentence she gets.
