iDance. For the past three years. My life has revolved around the dance program at Hathaway Brown School for girls. Dance had always been a part of my life. I did ballet and jazz when i was a youngin and i tried my hand at some modern in elementary school but quickly let that go when music(singing and instruments) and theater appeared to be where i felt at home. The stage loved me and I loved the stage. Well, once i got to HB and I did a few plays, I didnt enjoy theater and decided to switch from one performing art to the next and realized that dance is life. lol.
Why does this matter?
Well, this weekend was the annual Moving Company Dance Concert. Along with my homeeskillett natalieee, I set work in the concert and it felt good to dance and see something that i helped create be performed. I gave my senior bow with tears in my eyes because as much as i bitched about dance and dancing in general i wouldnt give the experience up for the world. I will always be a stage lover because i indeed love the spotlight. For the past 3 years dance has allowed me to realize that yah. i can sing. sure. i'll play thee hell out of a flute. andd yeah. i can act. but i also make a presence when i dance. and i love dance so that makes me happy.
